Notes so far:

• Manic Scribe is too slow, dies to languish and radiant flames
• Brain in a Jar is strong but slow to get started. Also allows you to cast soc at instant speed.
• Need to play things slow and control at first. Deck is very strong once pieces are in place. Even if they deal with Sphinx's Tutelage you can mill them out with Startled Awake   or just kill them if you can get multiple Fevered Visions
• Geistblast is interesting for it's exile effect but I have not been able to make it work for me.
