This is a strict tribal deck, so only the Elf creature type was considered for the creatures included in this deck.

Since this deck has many ways to generate Elf Warrior tokens, Doubling Season and Parallel Lives have been included to pair up with these effects.

Once you have a larger number of creatures on the board, you can make use of Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury (-7 ability) or Shamanic Revelation to draw a lot of cards. Also, since many of the Elves can also generate mana, a fairly large Genesis Wave can be possible.

Triumph of the Hordes was included as the only source of Infect, so it's best to save it for when you can completely take out one or more opponents with Poison Counters.

Squall Line can be another game-ender if you can save it up and don't need it to deal with Flying creatures.

Nissa Revane was primarily included for the -7 ability. The creature she tutors up did not make the cut for this deck (Nissa's Chosen), but the lifegain can help set you up for Squall Line.

Since this deck is mono-green, if you wanted to change things up instead of running Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury as the Commander, any of the included Legendary creatures could replace her.
