I am playing a tournament this weekend, really need help getting my deck ready!

Doran, the Siege Tower as general means any creature with high toughness for the mana cost is good. I have steered clear of walls as I don't think it is good just to be defending in this format, you need to finish the opponent off. I have included quite a few cards to help protect the general. If the general isn't out, the cards tend to be defensive, with high toughness and ability to shrug off Lightning Bolt and the likes easily. Then when Doran comes out they hit hard on offense.

Some cards are just powerful for the mana cost anyway, like Mother of Runes, Anafenza, the Foremost and Loxodon Smiter

With 25 life I can run all the fetches and shocks I can, and Phyrexian Arena and Thoughtseize. Clearly cards like Dark Confidant and Kitchen Finks are not as good in this deck as their power is reduced by 1 by Doran.

I am running 18 lands, due to the low average 1.9 CMC of the deck , 3 mana dorks, and the new mulligan rule allowing a scry.
