This is my take on Alela Stax. Its pretty straight forward, play lots of enchantments and artifacts using control elements to get there. Just a couple of the "quintessential" counters, Quench and Mystical Dispute, as well as a Neutralize for that late game cycling included.

I run Kaya's Ghostform and Alseid of Life's Bounty for protection. They are usually being used for Alela, Artful Provocateur because she gets targeted 90% of the time. I try to wait until I have 1 of them before I cast Alela, but sometimes you just gotta YEET her out there and hope for the best.

Other control comes from Elspeth Conquers Death which gives you a backdoor cast on Alela by sending her to the graveyard instead of the command zone, Kaya's Wrath, Shatter the Sky, Prison Realm, Banishing Light, Teferi, Time Raveler, etc. I like Inevitable End for creature heavy match ups. Throw that bad boy on their key creature and you have a free murder every turn.

Card draw can be a little spotty. I rely on Tome of Legends, Treacherous Blessing, Staggering Insight, Omen of the Sea, Idyllic Tutor, Arcanist's Owl, etc.

I only have a 53% win rate (not extremely accurate, I tend to auto-concede to Kenrith and Niv Reborn), but the deck is really fun to play.
