A deck that utilizes the Suspend ability, and plays with time counters to get bigger cards out faster, and to chain various abilities to destroy your opponent.Essentially, you want get Paradox Haze onto the battlefield enchanted to yourself as soon as possible, while using
Epochrasite
to defend yourself. If you manage to put out both Paradox Hazes, then Epochrasite will become a creature that comes back every turn for you.
Also, you will want to play
Arc Blade
,
Reality Strobe
and
Chronomantic Escape
as soon as you can manage. Arc Blade will be consistently chipping away at your opponent's life, Reality Strobe can slow them down, returning lands to their hand to stunt their mana growth, or by returning their bigger creatures to their hands to both remove threats and slow them down, and Chronomantic Escape will make you virtually invincible every three turns or less.
With
Panoptic Mirror
, you ideally want to imprint a
Fury Charm
because of it's versatility. Combined with 1 or 2 Paradox Haze's, Panoptic Mirror with a Fury Charm inscribed on it have the potential to add or remove up to 6 time counters from any permanent or suspended card you own, which would allow the deck to move very fast, or give your bigger creatures a +1/+1 and trample to do a lot of damage, or if your opponent utilizes artifacts, you can slow them down by destroying them as well.
Rift Elemental and Jhoira's Timebug are for removing additional time counters, though Rift Elemental can also be used as a 1-time hard hitter (with trample if a Fury Charm is used) and Jhoira's Timebug can be used as a last resort defense.
Chronozoa
is the main defense/offense of this deck, because of how quickly you can have it duplicating to amass a huge army of creatures after a few turns.
Curse of the Cabal
and
Sway of the Stars
are very situational. For Sway of the Stars, if you're losing, or if your opponent is virtually untouchable, use Jhoira of the Ghitu to suspend it for 4 turns, as well as some creatures that you can have return to the battlefield after Sway of the Stars wipes it. Curse of the Cabal, on the other hand, can be used at your leisure, though if it goes off mid to late game, it's an almost certain win depending on your opponent's deck and field.
Lastly, As Foretold is a card that can only help you. Once it's in play, it will allow you to play cards for free if it's mana cost is equal to or less than the time counters on As Fortold. So, you can rush time counters onto it using Jhoira's Timebug or
Timecrafting
, which would allow you to play Greater Gargadon or Deep-Sea Kraken from your hand for free, if you need a big monster immediately.
Sideboard cards, like
Call to Mind
, are to be swapped in when against a deck such as a Mono-Blue Counter deck, so you can put them in play again.
This deck was made mainly for the fun factor, for me, and as such isn't built to take on most aggro decks. The concept sounded cool, so I wanted to see if I could make it work, and this is what I got.
