Yuriko, The Tiger's Shadow Deck Testing/Changelog/Comments

The game plan is simple, stick an evasive 1 drop down on our first turn to start generating card advantage/chunking the table with Yuriko on turn 2. Eventually, we will get to a point where we can manipulate the top of our deck via Sensei's Divining Top , Scroll Rack , or tutors to start looping Time Warp effects while chunking the table.

I will do my best to keep this list updated with what I am currently testing and add more detail to the page as time goes.

I would categorize the deck as a fringe cEDH deck. It can run away with games, however can fall short due to color restriction and general inconsistencies manipulating the top of the deck. As eluded to in the title, were playing a worse Edric Turns deck. We trade the cheap recursion spells in green, as well as the good acceleration/cradle for black tutors/unplayable ninjas.

That being said, the deck is the most fun I have had playing competitive EDH in a long time. It is very satisfying to flip a Dig Through Time or Temporal Trespass off a trigger and watch the table groan. If you are looking for a fresh spin on an Edric deck, or want to take an aggressive approach in commander, I would highly recommend the deck.

To play or not to play bad cards

Due to the fact our game plan relies around ninjas dealing damage, we kind of pigeon hole ourselves into playing some pretty bad cards. Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni , Silent-Blade Oni , Xenograft , Conspiracy feel bad to play while trying to make a competitive deck. While these cards can be devastating and useful, they can also be very win more.

The Time Warp Boogaloo

How many Time Warp 's should we play? I think Nexus of Fate is the highest CMC we can go to without having dead cards in our hand. The idea of Time Stretch is nice as we can stack it and do a lot of damage, but I cant see a realistic way to cast it.
