Mardu BW Warriors

Looking to make this a competitive BFZ deck for standard. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Deck Explanation:Unfortunately, BFZ didn't bring any great warriors with it. However, just because Theros rotated out does not mean Warriors got any less powerful. This is still a very fun aggro deck that performs well at FNM. Now I'll explain the cards:

Creatures

  • Arashin Foremost: A Christmas present for warrior decks, this remake of Silverblade Paladin is a blessing for warrior themed decks. Not only does it have Double Attack, but it also grants Double Attack to another warrior whenever Arashin Foremost enters the battlefield or attacks. Very valuable for trying to deal lethal damage on turn 4 or 5.

  • Blood-Chin Rager : A very valuable warrior because of his ability to grant Menace (can only be blocked by two or more creatures) to ALL warriors you control whenever he attacks. This can be a nightmare for decks trying to chump block and can also be just what you need to squeeze in enough damage to win the game.

  • Bloodsoaked Champion : He gets the ball rolling early and when combined with Chief of the Edge can net you 3 easy damage on Turn 2. His Raid ability is especially useful versus control matchups.

  • Brutal Hordechief : This is one of your win cons right here. His passive ability is a Foul-Tongue Shriek which with a warrior swarm strategy is very effective, but he also has an activated ability allowing you to force your opponent to block just one creature and swing freely with the rest of your creatures. If the opponent hasn't managed to boardwipe you, this can be a win on Turn 5.

  • Chief of the Edge : This card is your bread and butter. A 3/2 two drop that grants all of your warriors +1/+0. Just one of these on the board can be great, but having two really makes your warriors a force to be reckoned with. With enough counters distributed by way of this card, Sorin, Solemn Visitor, or Drana, Liberator of Malakir your puny warriors will suddenly be able to shutdown Siege Rhino single handed.

  • Drana, Liberator of Malakir: While this card is not a warrior, it is the one creature card from BFZ which has enough value to warrant inclusion within this deck. For a 3 drop this card exceeds all expectations. Not only is it 2/3 with first strike and flying, but Drana grants permanent +1/+1 to all attacking creatures you control BEFORE the main combat phase due to Drana's first strike. This can be a definite game changer.

  • Mardu Strike Leader : This card is good because of its token generation, but you will mostly be using it for its Dash cost late in the game to try and sneak in lethal damage against an opponent. And if that doesn't work, at least you get a 2/1 Warrior token to help block on the next turn.

  • Mardu Woe-Reaper : This is your other one drop besides Bloodsoaked Champion and is useful against Delve matchups or to simply grant you some needed life gain late in the game.

Planeswalkers

  • Sorin, Solemn Visitor: This card is extremely useful simply for his ability to not only grant all of your creatures +1/+0 the turn you play him, which may tip the scales in your favor, but also for the massive life gain his lifelink ability grants. And if you manage to keep him alive for three turns you can use his ultimate to easily secure a victory. Please note: His +1 ability only applies to creatures you CURRENTLY have on the battlefield and will last until your next upkeep. Any creatures that enter the battlefield after you activate his ability will not receive the buffs.

  • Gideon, Ally of Zendikar: This card is not included in my decklist above, but if you have the money (As of this writing the fair trade price is ~$40 each) I would definitely add two of him alongside Sorin, Solemn Visitor. He is the definition of value and all of his abilities can be useful for this deck.

Instants

  • Murderous Cut: Easy late game creature removal. And if you're behind due to your warriors dying you can play it for the low low price of one black mana.

  • Secure the Wastes: This is a very powerful card in this deck. You can use it for chump blockers or to surprise your opponent during their end step and swing for lethal damage on your next turn. The fact that they're warriors and will synergize with your other buffs is just icing on the cake.

  • Valorous Stance: A very versatile and cheap card. Either protect your creatures from removal/stronger creatures or get rid of your opponent's beefy creature.

Sorcery

  • Ruinous Path : A non-instant version of Hero's Downfall for planeswalker removal. It can also be used late game to turn the tides and swing with a 4/4 for lethal damage.

Updates Add

I love my warriors so much I don't want to see them go. I've done some quick updates to make the deck standard legal again. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
