Hello! Thank you for checking out my Muldrotha, the Gravetide Commander deck! This was the first EDH Deck I ever decided to build on my own, but it has to be my favorite.

A little note Show

This deck couldn't have been made without: Deadpoo111, trusted IRL friend and very helpful when it comes to budgetizing my decks. DarkSwitch, my brother, for helping me shell out $180 for Commander Anthology 2 and getting the two of us to dive headfirst into the wacky world of commander, My mom and dad for not bitching when I started spending money on this game, My job for giving me the money to fund this deck, and readers like you!
Muldrotha is a commander that rewards having permanents in your graveyard for you to play. Essentially, Having Ol' Mully on board lets you use your graveyard as a second hand.
The cards (excluding lands) in this deck can be seperated into 5 main categories: Removal, Ramp, Recursion, Rot, and Rumblers. - Removal: Any sort of spell that can get rid of threats on the board, counter stuff, etc. Think Assassin's Trophy . -Ramp: Any sort of spell that can increase the amount of mana we can have in our pool faster than the 1 land-per-turn minimum. Sort of like Burnished Hart . -Recursion: Any sort of spell that can bring back other spells (most notibly instants and sorceries) from the graveyard to the battlefield/hand. Spells like card:Achaeomancer. -Rot: Any sort of spell that can dump cards into our grave for later use with Muldrotha. Deadbridge Chant is an example of this type of effect. -Rumblers:Any sort of spell that can pose a great threat to the field once it hits. Ghastly Conscription in the late game is a great rumbler.
-Despite the fact that this deck is very selfmill-y, and it is possible to win on Laboratory Maniac , I try not to use that as my primary win-con. I find that playing the deck as a self-mill combo-y deck is a lot less fun for both you and your opponents as well as not very interactive (as my brother has put it, it's watching someone play solitaire). Trying to beat the shit out of people is a lot more fun. But if that's not really what you're into... There are a few things you can try to do it win on Lab Man. -Evil Twin + Mirror-Mad Phantasm , copying the phantasm and activating the shuffle ability on the twin will hose your deck into your grave. If you can get Labman and some way to draw ( Greater Good is great) and then sac the phantasm, you can win. -NOTE: A combo NOT in this deck but worth checking out is Basalt Monolith + Mesmeric Orb . I WOULD put it in the deck, but the price tag on the orb isn't very cool. -This deck runs the Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake infinite mana combo. Mainly for Villainous Wealth . Wealth is a high priority rec target because of it's potential to SHRED. -You're not gonna be swinging very often, unless you really have no other choice and the table isn't letting you interact with your yard.
