I love mono white. A quick look through my deck lists here will pretty much assure you of that. Second to mill its my favorite style of play, this deck is one i have been testing around with against lots of different types of builds and i have been surprised at how well it is doing. It really does hold its own. With plenty of draw power cards like Chosen by Heliod and Defiant Strike to keep the tank full running out of gas or getting truly mana screwed has not been too troublesome. Quickly buffing creatures, be it through heroic or prowess with cards likeGods Willing, Feat of Resistance , Ordeal of Heliod and Phalanx Formation are the keys to fast wins or combat trickery for games that you think may draw out. Lots of protection help you to keep the attackers or defender(hopefully that is not the case) alive and a singleton copy of Spectra Ward is in here to keep the pressure on or force a board wipe. Only minimal removal in the form of four Banishing Lights so make them count. The creature base in nothing special really with the exception of Seeker of the Way ... that guy is awesome. He allows you to be sneaky on the attack and pump with prowess but the lifegain will keep you around for mid to late game though to air on caution this deck is meant to end it quickly. I am ending games on the average of turn six with this. The supporting cast for the seeker is heroic inclined with the exception of the Soldier of the Pantheon who deserves his spot in the line up with all the wedge going around. Favorite play? T1- Land, drop a favored hoplite T-2 Land, ordeal of heliod, trigger heroic, swing add counter now hes a 3/4 (two counters) T-3 Land, defiant strike(draw card) trigger heroic 4/5 swing 5/6 sack the ordeal gain 10 life. 8 damage dealt and ten life gained by T-3 assuming no blocks. Ideally you like to have a gods willing and a phalanx formation for the win on turn four.If they dont have a blocker it can be finished with just the formation. I dont know what the cost limit is for a budget build but 40$ seems pretty good to me for a fun playable deck.
