The Deck

Facelessss Menace Sssssslinking Sssssorcerer Upgrade is based off some of It's Always Willbender but on more of a budget & with other notable synergies that I have found to work well in our meta! I've had a lot of fun playing this deck bc it leaves your opponents scared of the control/combo aspect w/ those sneaky morphs. Let's get ssssstarted!

Win Conditions

The first win-con in this deck is Brine Elemental + Vesuvan Shapeshifter = the awesome "pickle" lock.

There is also Den Protector (face-up) + Vesuvan Shapeshifter + Temporal Manipulation = infinite turns.

Neat Synergies

Biomass Mutation + Sudden Substitution = cast biomass for two mana where X is zero, then cast sudden to take a creature of an opponent & exchange the biomass to make all opponent's creatures at 0/0.

Sultai Ascendancy + Den Protector (face-up) + Vesuvan Shapeshifter = buyback anything from the graveyard every turn (make infinite w/ temporal).

Equilibrium + Vizier of the Menagerie = (1) cast equilibrium; (2) bring kadena out to cast your first face-down creature for free & if you have mana you can pay 1 to bounce another opponent's creature back to their hand; (3) cast Vizier - remember you can pay 1 to bounce an opponent's creature bc of equilibrium & draw a card bc of kadena. NOTE: first face down morph is free & every time you cast a creature you draw a card bc of kadena + vizier lets you keep looking at the top card of your deck & you can cast the card if it's a creature card for free + you can pay 1 mana w/ equilibrium & keep bouncing opponents creatures back to their hands!

Politics

Even though I am continuously looking to update this deck w/ better lands, tutor cards, etc., Scheming Symmetry & Wishclaw Talisman are great alternatives to tutor cards & can encourage politicsssss. W/ wishclaw, make sure to pick an opponent who can negotiate to give you the card back so you can essentially tutor twice! *Update, I scored a demonic tutor in a mystery booster draft pack I won at fnm. So I'm going to put it in the deck for obvious reasons, but scheming symmetry is still a lot of fun and is probably one of my favorite card images
