Sideboard

Maybeboard

My first attempt at some sort of modern green lands-matter deck. Mostly based around getting as many lands into play as possible, then using mana dorks to cast Sylvan Awakening then beating down with them, hopefully backed up by a Sylvan Advocate to pump them all into 4/4's.

Prime Time is here as a general beatstick that we can both ramp into (plan B) and who ramps us into more lands for plan A.

Three different Nissa's since I couldn't decide which was best and they all care about lands, either turning them into creatures that Sylvan can buff, putting counters on them all after they're Awakened (with the counters remaining after Awakening ends) and just drawing us more cards and further ramping us.

8 mana dorks in Noble and Birds, as well as 8 2 mana land searchers, with Rampant and Steve. Courser is here to help us gain some life off all the land drops and to help get lands off the top of the deck, also he's a decent blocker.

Sideboard is Melira's for anti infect and other assorted combos, and Finks for value. Steel Leaf seems good for anti-tokens, Nylea is here to give trample to everything if we have trouble getting past blockers.

EDIT; 16/7/19 Making a serious attempt at actually building this deck now, with a few changes. Wanted to add in 3 more Nissas, 1 Vital Force and 2 Who Shake the World, because Shake just seems too good not to run and Vital is also kinda handy, working with both plan A (kill them with lands), gets us stuff back from the GY and can also potentially turn into an engine.

Cut a couple of my 2 mana ramp cards down to only 3 ofs and dropped a single land to make room for this. With all the dorks and other land tutors I feel this is still ok and we should still be able to get to 5 mana for these powerhouse walkers pretty easily.

No changes to sideboard as yet, but we'll see how the deck performs out in the field and make changes then. With the extra walkers I'm already thinking serpopard is likely the first to be cut.

Dropped the Heirarchs for Arbor elves. This keeps the deck a bit more budget and honestly, the Heriarchs aren't really doing anything other than the occasional exalted trigger, but this deck wants to go wide anyway, not attack with a single creature, and being able to untap my forests when they're creatures as well is nice. Leaving in the Birds instead as an emergency flying blocker at worst.

Also dropped Voice of Zendikar for Garruk Wildspeaker. Voice doesn't really do much other than churn out weak tokens and occasionally put some counters on stuff. The Garruk makes bigger tokens at the same rate, but can also untap more mana like the Arbor Elves, even better when those forests are creatures.
