basic discard deck.
i tend to start out with 4x despise for the first game. since there arent alot of creatures in the deck, i prefer to take those out of the way first, starting by the lower cost. by the time they would get a chance to cast the higher ones, they should have discarded it by other means. but you can always switch for whatever feels more appropriate, changing for more duress if its more spell based deck, not creature.
i will have to get some waste not and try them instead of sign in blood, seems like they would be a lot more usefull. although sign in blood is there to help you get your cards faster, it can also finish off an opponent in a pinch.
funeral charm has a lot of utilities... discard, boost your own creature, kill your opponents annoying 1/1, or if your lucky, make one of your creatures unblockable for a turn... any of this for the price of 1, and it's instant... instant discard can be pretty fun to have.
bloodhusk can fill in for mind shatter if you feel the need for a few more creatures.
languish can help against weenie decks, while keeping your nyxathid alive if you keep your opponents hand at at least 2 or fewer cards in hand.
