Right back at ya

Commander / EDH*

This deck uses redirection to win. Instead of playing threats or answers it leaves itself wide open for haymakers - then forces them right back at whoever throws one. I've been careful not to include defensive/pillowforting cards, white's typical ubiquitous removal, or blue counterspells (for the most part). You WANT your opponents to build up a huge alpha strike because the bigger it is the more damage they'll do to themselves.

The strategy is to wait for someone to hit you with a lot of damage. Wait for a doubled power worldspine wurm from the xenagos player and play Boros Fury-Shield or Turn the Tables. The best card is Comeuppance - why isn't this card played more? It lasts for the full turn and redirects from all sources which is helpful against a token based assault or a 1 damage at a time combo.

The deck started out as a copy of Sheldon Mennery's "you did it to yourself" deck which he showcases here:

My tuning has moved it away from stealing - although cards like Gilded Drake , Clone, and Gather Specimens are still present - and put more focus on damage redirection.

When I first got into commander I tended towards decks that didn't interact that much - all out attacking boros, indestructible/board wipe tribal, etc. I wanted to play a deck that forced me to be highly interactive. This deck does that for sure.
