This is a try of the legacy lands in modern format. With the new lands of Modern Horizons, the new Wrenn and Six planeswalker and the new sort of Engineered Explosives land ( Blast Zone ), I think this deck can be given a try to see if it could be viable in the Modern format.

The deck works as follows: 1. Find an engine to discard your lands usefully ( Flame Jab , Molten Vortex , Seismic Assault ) to gain value out your cards. 2. Gain card advantage from Wrenn and Six , Life from the Loam or Treasure Hunt . 3. Repeat.

Against certain deck, this deck can very well destroy lands from your opponent if their deck doesn't include a significant amount of basic lands. I think this deck can be very resilient to certain hate cards and archetype, despite it could struggle against some aggro or combo decks.

One thing to mention is that this deck could have a hard time struggling against Blood Moon decks. If so, Blast Zone and Assassin's Trophy are the best cards against Blood Moon . Another weakness of the deck can be graveyard hate, but it can get out of this hate archetype very well.
