Prevent your opponent from doing literally anything to you as you rain beaky death down on them from above.

This deck is built around holding your opponent at bay while you build up your own fleet of angry avian aggressors.

Ideally, you would be able to put out Authority of the Consuls on turn one, build up a wall of blockers with Fog Bank , and hit Arctic Aven on turn three or four. From there, it's just a matter of whittling your opponent down while keeping them tapped down with Downpour and Djeru's Renunciation .

As far as sideboard goes, Favorable Winds is included for situations in which you need to play more aggressively, Curse of Exhaustion is for control mirrors and other match ups that involve a lot of interaction, and Sleep is to hold off wide aggro decks and token engines.

I included Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Dovin Baan as options for when games run overlong, to prevent the deck from stalling out and giving you a loss.

Azorius Guildmage and, to a lesser extent Dovin Baan , are there to prevent combo decks from taking off.

Stony Silence is included to match up against artifact heavy decks, and Rest in Peace is for dredge matchups.
