Maybeboard

It's not 75%, it's not even 50%. But damn it if it isn't a Mishra deck for cheap!

(Not so cheap after the update)

But is Mishra really anything good in a singleton format you ask?

Well, yes. But only if you use the stack correctly so that you can get double the value out of your cards, the decks purpose is about casting an artifact and either countering it with Nullstone Gargoyle and Planar Chaos or to shuffle it into your deck with Possibility Storm. Cast the artifact spell, put Mishras trigger on the stack and lastly the trigger from one of the enchantments. As the stack resolves the artifact is put into the graveyard/library and is brought back with Mishra.

What cards does Mishra need to start his work?

Planar Chaos allow you play your artifact spells but disrupts your enemies.

Nullstone Gargoyle also allow you play your artifact spells but disrupts your enemies.

Possibility Storm shuffles your artifact spells in to your library and let's you put both that and another artifact into play as Mishra searches your library for a card with the same name as the artifact you shuffled in to your library.

Ice Cave makes every opponents game a lot worse but you are still able to play those sweet sweet artifacts. If you also have Mycosynth Lattice on the board all players can counter all spells but Mishra saves your artifacts from the threat.

How to get ahead of the rest of the table?

The first step of getting ahead of the rest of the players is pretty vanilla, put a load of mana-artifacts on to the battlefield. The second step is one of the more annoying thing to go up against in magic, land disruption. Blow up everybodys lands, including your own lands if you cant defend them with Darksteel Forge and Mycosynth Lattice, to get control of the game. Suddenly your enemies are back to square one and you have a ton of mana artifacts on the table.

What should I do when everyone is mad about the mass land disruption?

This is where you start digging for whatever you need with tutors and card draw. The amount of tutors and card draws in the deck should make it possible for you to always find what you need. Necropotence makes finding the right card very easy, with Library of Leng the discard drawback is gone and you can keep anything you draw and with Eternity Vessel or Ivory Tower the cost of life won't bother you anymore. If you really want to go through a lot of cards with Necropotence there's always Memory Jar to look for what you need. Rhystic Study and Mystic Remora will give you a card advantage or slow your opponents even more.

If everything works as it should you'll be able to have Possibility Storm Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir on the battlefield at the same time. If you have both of them on the battlefield your opponents wont be able to play any spells anymore unless they have an answer on the board. The opponents spell that would been played with Possibility Storm trigger is stopped by Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir effect about opponents only being able to play spells as they were sorceries. At this step you've won the game and your opponents will probably scoop or if they stay in the game they'll just be able to watch as you play.

But how to survive long enough to be that annoying?

If slowing the opponents with mass land disruption, countering their spells and Possibility Storming their spells wasn't enough there is always other sulotions. Mystifying Maze and Maze of Ith removes big threats that are attacking you while True-Name Nemesis, Inkwell Leviathan and Darksteel Colossus can block big things comming your way. Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots keeps Mishra, Artificer Prodigy from dying to your opponents spot removal and Padeem, Consul of Innovation helps your artifacts surviving until you control the game. MImic Vat, Praetor's Grasp and Thada Adel, Acquisitor allows you to "borrow" the things that you need. Mycosynth Lattice and Darksteel Forge makes everything you control indestructible. In combination with Nevinyrral's Disk you can boardwipe your opponents every turn.

The opponents didn't let me keep my beloved artifacts on the battlefield, what can i do to get more?

You have the option to bring some of them back with the help Goblin Welder or Myr Retriever. If you what more of the artifacts you play Mirrorworks is able to create another for . Creating tokens of the Retriever and using them to fuel Goblin Welder gives you all the recursion you could need (in theory).

Otherwise borrow stuff with Praetor's Grasp and Thada Adel, Acquisitor. This will also trigger Mishras ability and you can get double the value out of casting your opponents Sol Ring, Mana Crypt or what ever you also have in your deck.

How to upgrade the deck from 25% to 50% or even 75%?

Nether Void would be one of the strongest recommendation as it enables Mishras trigger and slows your opponents game.

The manabase can be improved with cards like Mishra's Workshop, Underground Sea, Volcanic Island, Badlands, Scalding Tarn, Watery Grave, Steam Vents, Blood Crypt, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Ancient Tomb, Metalworker, and swaping the basic lands for for snowcovered lands.

As Winterblast suggested Mox Diamond, Chrome Mox and Grim Monolith also is a great addition to the manabase.

Guardian Beast is a great creature for keeping your artifacts alive.

Blightsteel Colossus is a great replacment for Darksteel Colossus.

If you have it swap Decree of Pain for All is Dust as it can deal with all colored permanents and you don't need the draws when your opponents can't play anything.
