This is a / deck built around angels and humans. There's plenty of good human synergy here; Champion of the Parish can get very bulky, very easily. Mirran Crusader has proven very useful a number of times, and using Fiend Hunter at the right time can remove threats,Silverblade Paladin can give double strike to others, and Thalia, Heretic Cathar can keep your opponents open for just enough time to get in some damage.

Strategies

• Get Champion of the Parish out early. Stoneforge Masterwork will essentially double the counters he gets. Follow with other humans as well as Increasing Devotion. You can easily protect your humans with Sigarda, Heron's Grace and Avacyn, Angel of Hope, which Thalia's Lancers can get to your hand. You can also try to get out a Herald of War and use it to reduce costs for the winged ladies to come out and play.

• Use your humans to build a defensive and expendable army while you +1 Gideon, Champion of Justice and build your mana base. Float your mana, ult Gideon, and drop an angel (ideally Avacyn) and you're almost guaranteed the win.

• Use Martyr of Sands for quick lifegain and work on equipping a creature, say, Mirran Crusader with Celestial Mantle. Just up your life for teh lulz until your opponent gets sick of it and flips the table. Loxodon Warhammer only makes it sweeter.
