Slivers - Modern

Modern Sliver

Rygol

Sideboard

This deck was built and designed originally during the "Return to Ravinca" leading into "Journey into Nyx" Standard sets time frame. Since then, I have been adjusting it for Modern events.

The deck is compiled with the following,

  • Various sliver lords for power ramping across all Sliver creatures.
  • Lower mana/land cards due to Manaweft Sliver providing a huge ramping potential across all Sliver creatures on your battlefield.
  • Protection from various control or damage capabilities of other players once the Slivers are actually in play.
  • Minor elements of control versus enchantment and artifact heavier decks or low cost early game aggro decks.
  • Sliver Hivelord is the Legendary Creature pick for making your creatures practically impossible to get rid of, aside from board wipes that return cards back to hands or graveyards, etc.

I've looked over various possible additions over my time of playing the deck and continuously making adjustments according to local meta and players. I do tend to fight more mono blue or white, insert xyz color here, control decks in my area. I've been considering a small list of cards to assist in complicating matters against aforementioned deck styles as follows,

Just to name a couple of normally utilized cards for tribal decks and more specifically, Sliver decks. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated for further enhancing or improving the deck for Modern gameplay and events.
