Maybeboard

A Mono-White Weenie aggro deck for casual play. This is a kitchen table deck based on the cards I have and ones I could find locally for a moderate price. Some of the card choices, especially the one-ofs and two-ofs, are based on how many of that card I have.

Deck Plan:
The idea is to play cheap but efficient creatures to begin the damage early, buffing them or giving them abilities as we go along. Several of the cards provide life gain, helping against fast or aggressive matchups. Several cards either have First or Double Strike or give the team First Strike, etc., which also helps a weenie deck a lot.

One thing this deck lacks is some sort of card draw. Being a weenie deck, it tends to go into top-decking mode before too long.

  • Elite Vanguard , Mardu Woe-Reaper , and Soldier of the Pantheon are all 2/1 for .
  • Mardu Woe-Reaper , Soldier of the Pantheon , Lone Missionary , Oreskos Sun Guide , Fiendslayer Paladin , and Path of Bravery offer life gain.
  • Doomed Traveler comes back a little better if killed.
  • Mother of Runes Is possibly the best white one-drop in the game.
  • Aegis of the Gods helps protect you.
  • Ajani's Pridemate grows (and would go great with Proliferate). Synergy with the life gain cards.
  • Soldier of the Pantheon and White Knight have protection abilities, and the knight has First Strike, which is especially nice in a weenie deck.
  • Archetype of Courage gives the whole team First Strike and denies it to the enemy. Very useful.
  • Fabled Hero I'd use this for the flavor text alone. Beautiful. Double Strike and Heroic. Call him to serve, and he will be a 4/5 flier. (He just ought to be best friends with this guy . LOL.)
  • Fiendslayer Paladin Besides the life gain, he has First Strike and can't be targeted by red or black. Wish I had a full play set. Actually, I wish I had multiple play sets so I could have a full set in my anti-vampire deck as well. Whack-A-Drac [Anti-Vampire]
  • Frontline Medic protects the team.
  • Heliod, God of the Sun Here to help in longer games. Big, indestructible, and gives the whole army a very useful ability. Also gives us a use for any excess mana, which is likely by then.
  • Seraph of the Sword Provides a big flying blocker for the longer games.
  • Blind Obedience slows the opponent down and can hurt the opponent and gain you life when you have spare mana. Our stuff is cheap, so chances to use Extort are not hard to come by if the game goes more than a few turns.
  • Call To Serve buffs and gives evasion.
  • Honor of the Pure buffs the whole team. A key card.
  • Journey to Nowhere provides cheap broad-spectrum removal that isn't bothered by Regeneration or graveyard recursion.
  • Knighthood gives the team First Strike.
  • Path of Bravery buffs the team in addition to the life gain.
  • Rootborn Defenses Instant-speed protection for the team.
  • Angelic Accord Help for the long game. Gives you big fliers if the game hasn't wrapped up quickly. Synergizes best with Lone Missionary and Path of Bravery .

  • The deck has 62 cards, which I need to resolve at some point.
