Izoni

Introduction

Hi guys, this is my casual EDH deck featuring Izoni, Thousand-Eyed. I made this deck right after prerelease of Guilds of Ravnica. I had Golgari seeded booster, but I didn't pull her from any given pack. I was just hungry for Assassin's trophy (Hell, who weren't?). I had a game versus a player who drafted her and played with the deck really well. Even though I lost the game I fell in love with her, consider her a great General for Golgari deck. And well, she is! She can be so cruel. She can win just with her army of insects or do combos- serious ones!

Gameplay

1. Starting hand

The ideal hand consists of:

-early dump, such as Entomb, Hermit Druid or Stitcher's Supplier

-some ramp/ditch spells, such as Cultivate, Grisly Salvage or Mulch

-atleast 3/4 land cards.

2. Early game

In the early game you just want to ramp and fill up the graveyard as much as your cards allow you to.

3. Mid game/Late game

By turn 4-6 you should have atleast 6 creatures in your graveyard. So its beating time. You can go two directions from there. Do you have Beastmaster Ascension? Then cast General and attack your opponents with giant insects! Otherwise it's time to setup a combo. Well, they are quite many of them, so I will talk about these in the next panel.

Combos

Well, I'm not quite sure from where to begin. It will be probably best if I just list these combos.

Nim Deathmantle + Ashnod's Altar + Izoni, Thousand-Eyed + any creature that pings your opponents (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat and Poison-Tip Archer.

-Basic one, but it works wonders!

Living Death + Phyrexian Altar + Eternal Witness + any creature that pings your opponents (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat and Poison-Tip Archer.

-This one can be achieved even with Ashnod's Altar if Priest of Gix is in your graveyard. You also need to have atleast 5 creatures in the graveyard. Living Death can be replaced with Twilight's Call but you have to have one more creature in your graveyard. These creatures can be also replaced with Mitotic Slime.
