Doubling Season and Ulvenwald Hydra —June 26, 2017
I'm still unsure if Doubling Season is a great or win more card. It has certainly provided inevitability in the long game and the ability to just ultimate her off on cast is invaluable. It has also provided me with a way to recover my board position almost immediately in the game after a board wipe. It is however, a dead card/win more when I am already in a winning position and is digging for a combo payout. I do run it over Shamanic Revelation for now due to the above reasoning.
It certainly has been a mixed bag with Soul of New Phyrexia. It is great in a boardwipe heavy meta and provides protection for all my permanents. I have however, found that it is a dead draw early to mid game and having the need to hold 5 mana every turn can put me back on my plans. I will probably be replacing it with Realm Seekers as another land tutor.
the only think I would suggest is dropping Essence Warden. I feel like most of the time if you go infinite, you've already won and there probably isn't need for infinite life.

Nice! one of the only other well tuned Frey decks I've seen! Imo people seriously underestimate her as a commander. You may have convinced me to use Doubling Season, Frey coming in and instantly using the -6 seems too good to pass up. +1 (:
