Izzet Infinite relies on the Izzet Guildmage for the combos and trying to keep him safe by throwing out as much control as possible.

Things you want on the battlefield, the guildmage and having a training grounds would be awesome, but not necessary. Having the guildmage let's you throw out the back up infinite combo, Lava Spike spliced with Desperate Ritual. In order to do this you need 6 avaliable mana and at least 3 need to be red. This let's you recast Lava Spike with Desperate Ritual with it on there as many times as you need.

My favorite combo is if you can get a Training Grounds out on the field with the Guildmage and have a Manamorphose in hand. Cast your Manamorphose and leave a blue mana open. Tap your blue mana to copy it with Ol' Izzy. Because Training Grounds is out on the battlefield, you only need one blue mana in order to copy it, letting you gain a mana everytime you copy. So essentially you could draw your entire library with however many mana you want in any combination on turn three of you're both lucky enough to have the hand and brave enough to risk it without it being countered. This let's you have options with getting your Lava Spike/Desperate Ritual combo, or mill out your opponent, or even give him the Red Sun's Zenith to his flippin face!

I must relay how important this is, Izzy can only copy sorceries or instants you control, so DO NOT let your spells resolve before copying them otherwise no infinite combo.

Enjoy!!!
