(Still looking for improvements please let me know what you think.) You know what I hate? I hate Combo decks. More than anything really. They run with one thing, and build a deck around it, where's the synergy? Where's the class?

So here it is, the deck that just loves to bust that all to hell. Introducing, "The Purge!"

The deck runs off of a simple mechanic. You keep the opponent held up by removing their key cards with Extirpate and Surgical Extraction. From there everything else is centered around getting key cards in the graveyard, so they can be purged.

Quick Explanations for why each card is here:

Archive Trap: Archive Trap makes for a quick way to get several cards in the grave before the game really starts. My personal favorite is when they crack a land, to search for land. Then you mill for 13, and catch like a splinter twin, or a goyf. Then you laugh as their dek loses a key component.

Abrupt Decay + Slaughter Pact : Both are meant to pop anything that helps set up the early game for an opponent. Slaughter pact hits any big creatures while Abrupt Decay hits anything else that might be a problem. After that PURGE!

Cryptic Command: Well what kind of deck doesn't have a good counter measure for, well everything? Cryptic command pretty much covers my bases for anything I might need, makes a good, "Swiss Army Knife."

Inquisition of Kozilek: Lastly is a nice turn one discard. Might not hit everything but it lets me see what I'm up against so I know what to hit with my exilers.

After that everything else is either a draw con, a win/survival con, or a Snapcaster Mage. Snapcaster Mage is only meant to get max use out of my instants or sorcerys. As for Serum Visions it obviously just lets me draw cards, and Batterskull and Scavenging Ooze are my win con. They also help me keep my life up as all the crack lands, shock lands, and phyrexian black mana, brings it down quickly.

The Sideboard I'm still undecided on, to be honest it could be better than it is. So let me know what you think. The same is true about the deck as a whole though, so don't be afraid to comment, call me an idiot and tell me what I should be doing. I plan to make this my tournament deck if only to see how it does, I hope that it has the potential to be competitive.

Update: Ghost Quarter added, works well with Archive Trap. Thanks for the suggestion!.

Newer Update: So a friend of mine took a real interest in the deck, even though I basically put it to the wayside (college and stuff). So there will be an updated decklist very soon! Hopefully it will be even more cringe worthy!
