The Strategy

This deck wins two different ways: copying Sharuum the Hegemon infinite times or creating infinite Thopters with Thopter Foundry+Sword of the Meek+ and a colorless sac outlet. Here’s how you make infinite copies of Sharuum:

1. Get Sculpting Steel or Phyrexian Metamorph in the graveyard with Final Parting, Buried Alive or Entomb.
2. Tutor for Altar of the Brood or Disciple of the Vault. There are many ways to accomplish this. Make sure one of these is on the battlefield before you play your commander.
3. Play Sharuum the Hegemon targeting Sculpting Steel or Metamorph. This enters as a copy of Hegemon, forcing you to sac the original Hegemon. The copy of Hegemon targets the one in your graveyard. That Hegemon returns, forcing you to sac the original one. Ta-da, you created infinite copies of Sharuum. With Altar of the Brood or Disciple of the Vault you’ll kill all of your opponents simultaneously. You can find people online who describe this in better detail than I do.

This deck is for you if:

• You want to win by turn 5 or 6
• You play in a powerful meta
• You don’t want to interact with your opponent’s board
• You don’t mind getting hosed by a well-timed Bojuka Bog

This deck is not for you if:

• You play in a casual meta
• You want to win quickly or drag out games
• Your meta has a lot of graveyard hate

Bad Match Ups

You'll have difficulty playing against graveyard hate, fast aggro strategies and cards that prevent you from tutoring.

Budget Cuts

You can play with the land base to cut out a lot of the costs. The Thopter Foundry combo is a bit pricey monetary wise, and that can be easily replaced with other combos.
