Deck looks cool, but I can't help but feel you'd just be better off playing Infect. Better tricks and more reliable and quicker kills.

It makes this deck ridiculously more consistent.

I wouldn't really call this burn. It's closer to a voltron style deck. Have you considered Kiln Fiend?

If this deck is all red, why bother putting in Arid Mesa and Wooded Foothills? I might be missing something, but wouldn't it be just as effective to replace those 7 cards with Mountain? That would take off an entire $150 from just those 7 cards alone, making the deck around $40-$50. You could even tag it as budget which would interest more fun, casual players, which is what it seems like this deck was made for.

I second Kiln Fiend, simply on of best creatures in this type of strat. I'd consider going into blue, you get some cantrips like Serum Visions and bounce spells for tempo swings like Vapor Snag which are very handy. Also lets you play Thing in the Ice Flip if you like. Bedlam Reveler seems like an all-star to refresh your hand as well if the game starts to go a little long for you.

The fetches are in the deck to thin it out so you actually have a higher chance of drawing the cards you need. But you can run all mountains. I did this because every card is only 1 mana so realisticly you can win the game with 1 or 2 mountains if you pull the god hand with a simian spirit guide and a couple of mutagen growths. I also use the fetches because I have a play set of all of them

2 colors actually makes it super inconsistent for what this deck does imo so trying to keep it mono red.

And also I made this deck for competitive play because most of the ppl at my lgs play deaths shadow (of course) and it is surprisingly effective against it because they kill them selves so turn 2 ya swing they don't block then pump it up to 15 dmg and win if they don't have a removal

I'd second the Street Wraith. It essentially cuts your decksize by however many you have, and will make your deck much more consistant. I'd say cutting out either Rift Bolt or some of those lands would be good to make room for it. I really don't think you need more than 13 lands.

There is another way to turn 1 win without being on the draw. Cards in hand: 1x Simian Spirit Guide, 1x Mountain ,3x Mutagenic Growths, 1x Monastery Swiftspear, and of course 1x Assault Strobe. And best of all you have a bit extra damage. You deal 22 damage rather than 20.
May 18, 2017 11:46 a.m.
Yeah, I didn't update the description after adding the mutagenic growths.

I might be missing something, but you said "or" in the description for the turn 1 combo. You would need all of those cards to do the turn 1 kill, since exiling Simian Spirit Guide does not trigger Monastery Swiftspear

Maybe Apostle's Blessing in the sideboard for control decks that have early removal?
May 19, 2017 12:33 a.m.
As Whiskerbro said, you might want to consider infect with the the same buff spells.
May 20, 2017 8:38 p.m.
Even if you're gonna run the infect win-con in sideboard, it'd be better off to go ahead and run the Blood Crypts in maindeck for the sense of having more cards available in the sideboard.
May 21, 2017 8:21 p.m.
I agree with divinagon, running 4 Blood Crypt makes no sense. Really, nothing on the sideboard makes sense at all. You should probably always be running maindeck Apostle's Blessing, no reason to leave it on the side. Gut Shot also seems like an odd choice, as you're already playing red. You want targeted hate towards specific decks on the sideboard, not just random extra removal spells and the infect wincon. Again, I do think that if you want to play a deck like this, it would make more sense just to play Infect, maybe R/G infect if you really want those red pump spells, but U/G or G/B is probably better.
