You all know it, you all love it, it's Jeskai Control! But this list is trying out some unconventional things, let's see what you guys think.

Gideon of the Trials: It's a good card against decks that put one threat out there that just has to be nullified. For example, Tron in Wurmcoil Engine and Walking Ballista, Infect in their Infect creatures, Hollow One in their Hollow Ones and Gurmag Anglers (assuming they dont drop a bunch and we have removal for at least one of them, etc. It's also not bad at just putting on a clock against the slower decks like KCI and Tron, it's even pretty good in the mirror!

Only 2 Serum Visions: More and more I'm starting to convince myself that cantrips arent even too great. Yeah it smooths your draws, and yeah it helps with Logic Knot, but if your deck is... "good", and every draw is relevant, Serum Visions doesnt do much. The logic is there but a little sloppy I know, but gonna try it and see how it works out.

4 Field of Ruin: We all know every Jeskai Control list would run 4 Field of Ruin if it could, but sometimes it's just too rough on the mana base. Well I like being greedy so I'm trying it out. I could easily get screwed over in a lot of games because I need double white for Supreme Verdict or Wrath of God or that I need triple blue for Cryptic Command, but I want to try it out. It hoses Tron and punishes greedy manabases, I think it's worth a shot.

Spell Queller in the board: It isnt completely unconventional, people do it, but most lists you see wont have it. I personally am a fan. It hits everything relevant in KCI while being hard to kill (at least for that deck), gets past Cavern of Souls in the Humans matchup while also being a relevant body, card just seems sick. I'd play it mainboard if I had the slots, but right now we're gonna run with it in the board and see how it does.

Well that's the deck! Any tips or advice on the deck would be greatly appreciated. I am a seasoned control player in Modern but truth be told I haven't ran a control deck in Modern since about two seasons ago. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks guys and Happy Deckbuilding!
