Updates

2nd FNM I've attended and used this deck. Here are the 75:

4x Aerial Responder2x Aethersphere Harvester2x Authority of the Consuls2x Cast Out4x Concealed Courtyard4x Crested Sunmare2x Desert of the True3x Fatal Push3x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar4x Glory-Bound Initiate2x Grasp of Darkness4x Ifnir Deadlands2x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet4x Lone Rider6x Plains4x Shambling Vent4x Swamp4x Thraben Inspector2x Archangel Avacyn2x Fumigate2x Gideon's Intervention1x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar1x Liliana, the Last Hope1x Linvala, the Preserver2x Lost Legacy1x Ob Nixilis Reignited1x Oketra the True2x Solemnity

Only change this time around was adding in 1 Linvala, the Preserver in the sideboard. Matches felt pretty good. It was a slow night so we only played 3 rounds. Matches went as follows:

Round 1 - Lost to BW aristocrats 2-1 - This guy's deck was really sweet and focused on Hidden Stockpile in conjunction with cards like Servo Expedition, Demon of Dark Schemes, Bontu the Glorified, and Anointed Procession. I won game 1 as I was able to cast out his first and only stockpile and eventually just overran him with tokens and efficient creature. Games 2 and 3 went a little differently. I brought in Avacyns, Linvala, Liliana, and Fumigates but couldn't get Avacyn to flip and never saw a fumigate. Game 2 he had 3 stockpiles and a bontu out and I just couldn't keep up. Game 3 he had anointed procession and Liliana, Death's Majesty and buried me under tokens again.

Round 2 - Won against UW Approach 2-1 - I lost game 1 to the incremental life-gain and him casting approach twice. Games 2 and 3 I brought in lost legacy, another gideon, gideon's intervention, and avacyn and was able to out-aggro him. Gideon did the heavy lifting. Being sure to play around blessed alliance is what saved me and helped me get the win in the end.

Round 3 - Won against Temur Energy 2-0 - This round was a fortunate win because game 1 my opponent was mana screwed and missed 3-4 land drops in a row while I curved out pretty well. Game 2 he had removal for my earlier threats but then flooded the rest of the game as I drew more and more threats.

Still having a blast playing the deck but am afraid that rotation is going to take away most of the deck's power. I may go the token route with anointer priest and anointed procession, or may end up shelving the deck if it seems like too many of the key pieces are lost. The addition of Linvala seemed like a good idea heading into FNM (especially if the UW spirits deck showed up again). I'll probably keep it while it's legal since it seems really underrated at the moment. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I really like this build, so much so, I can't think of any suggestions. Have you had a chance to play it in Standard?

Thanks, FullmetalWes! I have not yet, unfortunately. I was hoping to test it out at FNM tomorrow but I think I'm going to have to wait another week. I'll be sure to post results as soon as I get a chance to play it!

jaedonadebahr I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what to cut. Thought about going down to 23 lands and maybe trimming some of the other creatures, but she's way more vulnerable without Always Watching in the deck. Might still cut some stuff anyway for at least 2 and a Bruna, or just 3 copies of her. I'll try her as I play the deck and post the results!

I play RDW I'd not enjoy this matchup unless you have trouble getting the right mana with all the ww, bb your running. I'd run Authority of the Consuls main deck as a 4 of tho.

Atroxreaper yeah, that's my goal haha. When I play tested on here it seemed like getting WW and BB was pretty consistent. Definitely thought about main boarding some authorities, but I didn't know how many control decks I'd run into. I may try to make room for 3 and cut some removal to make room for it. Appreciate the suggestion!

Thanks for the update and congrats on a pretty successful day for the deck's first run! I think this deck will do even better when the new set comes out and a lot of the cards you had problems with rotate out. Although, I suppose you'll be losing some good cards too. I'll let ya know if I think of anything to replace the cards you'll lose in rotation. Good luck!
