Sideboard

Here's my first modern deck after getting back into the format after a 3 year hiatus. Since then, I've been playing commander, so I figured I'd play a deck with a tribal vibe and big ole beaters. This is a semi-budget build of the popular colorless tron decks floating around.

Main budget items include the 3x Trinisphere in place of the $240 4x Chalice of the Void, which I know is a huge downgrade but it kinda works. It slows down burn to the point they scoop in response, and neuters death shadow aggro. Unfortunately, it doesn't scale. But for saving $200, I'll take the sphere. Next is the lack of Karn Liberated. If you have a copy or two, play him, but I chose to put in Simian Spirit Guide in its place to sure up quick plays. He'll definitely be included once I get copies, his removal is way too good. The cost of Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger is ridiculous but he's way too good not to play at least 1 -- I'd personally play 2 if I had the funds, don't play Kozilek, the Great Distortion in his place it's not worth it. The one-of is enough to get you by. All C & C is appreciated.

Fun little tidbit, Grafdigger's Cage stops Collected Company and Chord of Calling dead, so do with that what you will.

-Cheers
