Start out slow. react for a while. then go on the offensive and move in for the kill. Unlike the majority of blue decks. "Dominator" actually tries to finish the opponent off within a reasonable amount of time.

Your basic strategy is to react until you have around 4 to 6 mana. early on you will generally not have any creatures on the table, since the cheapest in the deck costs 3 mana. you can take advantage of this fact with cards like Fade Away & Time Ebb to slow your opponent down during your buildup. Legacy's Allure , effectively a Control Magic that builds over time, eventually can take over any of the oponent's creatures, and is very strong if you can get it out early. With an assortment of counterspells in the two and three mana range, you can pick and choose what your opponent is able to cast early.

Once you get up to 4 mana, you can start to take control. with Mind Games you can keep creatures at bay by tapping them each turn. At six mana, you can start to bounce thm back to your opponent's hand with Capsize. propoganda and Equilibrium make it even more difficult for your opponent to keep creatures on the table and effectively attack you. Once you build up enough mana, you can use Treasure Trove to draw additional cards and further your advantage.

The 13 creatures in "Dominator" out number those in a typical blue deck. all your creatures ave either flying or shadow, so your attacks will generally get through, especialy with Mind Games to discourage your opponent from blocking with multiple creatures. the thalkos scout have the additional advantage of being difficult to get rid of. They make any card in your hand able to counter a creature destruction effect, and cards that become less useful later in the game like Fade Away are ideal for this purpose.

Your opponent will usually expect a blue deck to sit back and take it's time.exploit that misconception and dominate the playing field!!!

This Is literally a pre-constructed deck from Exodus block and was a huge help to me starting out at that time hoping it will help someone else grow as a player as well. the description is also taken directly from the deck breakdown.
