Welcome to Breya, Etherium Shaper EDH. As a disclaimer for those looking for cEDH or close to it lists; that's not my playgroup's style. This commander has great potential for that, but this list, while tuned, is not quite at that power level.

Quick Description

This deck is looking to make the most out of artifact shenanigans. It's got thought-intensive lines, and has a lot of tools at its disposal. It can win through creature beats if that's the direction the game is going by utilizing cards like Wurmcoil Engine or Myr Battlesphere , but it can dig itself out of some tight spots with the right combo pieces as well.

Should I play this deck?

You will like this deck if:

• You like the card type artifact.

• You like thinking through many different lines of play.

• You like being able to combo kill your opponents

You will not like this deck if:

• You want a straightforward deck with minimal decision making.

• You want to be the aggressor in the match.

• You dislike winning via combos that are difficult to stop.

Key Cards

Winning fair:

• Wurmcoil Engine is a decently sized creature that can be difficult to effectively block, and provides sustain for crackback damage.

• Myr Battlesphere is another creature that can deal devastating damage. With Conjurer's Closet or Deadeye Navigator you can make a lot of myr to power up its attack trigger.

• Shimmer Dragon is a decently sized evasive threat that will often have hexproof.

• Cranial Plating will make any creature hit much harder. This card is extra fun with Smothering Tithe .

• Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge can deal big damage with his +2.

Comboing off:

• Purphoros, God of the Forge is the easiest way to deal indirect damage to your opponents until they are dead. A good tool on its own without comboing that can kill opponents out of nowhere using Krark-Clan Ironworks + Nim Deathmantle with either Breya, Etherium Shaper , Wurmcoil Engine , or Myr Battlesphere .

• Disciple of the Vault and Marionette Master are other tools to harm your opponents the non-combat way. Less flexible than Purphoros.

• Sword of the Meek is a great tool to combo with Thopter Foundry . This generates infinite tokens when paired with Urza, Lord High Artificer .

I really can't easily list all the combinations of tools that allow you to more or less win on the spot, but the tools listed above, as well as Panharmonicon can dig you out of some tight scrapes. Don't forget that Breya can also deal damage directly to face if needed to combo someone out, though it does require a bit more setup to have both the mana and the artifact count required to do so.

Alternate win:

• Hellkite Tyrant can sometimes win you the game. Don't forget that treasures off of Smothering Tithe count as artifacts.

I need cards!:

• Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain allows you to draw cards off most of the cards in your deck.

• Tezzeret, Artifice Master often allows you to Divination for 0 loyalty.

• Daretti, Scrap Savant is good card filtering, and doubles as a recursion piece.

• Thoughtcast is easy card advantage.

• Skullclamp is busted. Nothing more needs to be said.

• Rhystic Study either draws you a bunch of cards or slows down your opponents. Either option is fine.

• Sai, Master Thopterist can turn wimpy artifacts into card advantage.

I need THAT card!:

• Whir of Invention finds you basically whatever artifact you could ever desire and puts it into play.

• Tezzeret the Seeker is just a limited Whir of Invention that can stick around for added value later.

• Enlightened Tutor can even find you Purphoros, God of the Forge .

• Fabricate finds you any artifact for cheap, but you will have to resolve it later.

Recursion:

• Emry, Lurker of the Loch is a cheap and effective way to get your favorite toys back.

• Myr Retriever is a good chump blocker or sacrifice fodder.

• Goblin Welder can cheat in big artifacts at the cost of a token. Can also be used against your opponents in a pinch.

• Scrap Trawler is the big brother of Myr Retriever

• Sharuum the Hegemon is a beefy creature that brings back a toy.
