And, on that day, Myrs learned how to say "No."

Modern Competitive Control Ramp Tron WU (Azorius)

elpokitolama

It was a dark, and calm night, somewhere over the hills of New Phyrexia.

Follow the Master. Follow the orders.

Such was the duty of the Myrs. They were the most loyal servants of Karn, Memnarch, Glissa, Koth, Phyrexian preators, and many others names before those ones...

But that night, a Creator named Venser came, freed them and send them to a plane named "Ravnica". Here, they took the power of a guild named "Azorius".

They, who followed the rules since their birth are now going to create them. And rule over the Multiverse.

Well, now we can go for a description of the deck!

After a lot of wandering, I finally came back to the kind of deck I liked to play when I began MTG: UW decks, Myrs decks, and ramp deck. I put everything in a blender and now it became probably my most powerful deck.

Manabase: since I play quite some colored spells, I can't go for the usual 4/4/4 Urza's lands. The rest is here to fix, because even if Chromatic Lantern is great, I can't give it more than two slot.

-Creatures: first of all, my Magnificient five (yes, it's not a lot but I had to cut some in order to have more counterspells) : Palladium Myr, Silver Myr , and Gold Myr . They serve the same purpose as Urza's lands: taking the deck to a crazy amount of mana as fast as possible. And they're really great at it.

- Judge's Familiar : just like the cheese, he stands alone (like an almighty Storm Crow, even if not as great). He can still piss of your opponent pretty easily, especially if they play burn. Drop one my friends~~

-Snapcaster Mage: oh, god, 50 dollars a pair. But they're worth it: 2 mana of pure epicness that allows you to draw/counter even moar !

-Thassa, God of the Sea: that scry 1 before the draw step is pretty handy. Not as good as Dark Confidant, but still nice.

-Finishers: Sun Titan is a fearsome friend: check that revival power on Snapcaster Mage or Judge's Familiar . Archon of the Triumvirate is propably my RTR favorite card: even if he's costy, he's the one you want to give your Batterskull because of that detain OPness of his. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn: pretty much the guy you want to play when you have too much mana on turn 6.

Sorcey/Instant spells.-Compulsive Research and Serum Visions are some of the best drawers of the format. Why would a blue player not play any of them? Sphinx's Revelation is here when you've got no more hand, but plenty of mana... And it can be flashbacked, since you pay the X cost one more time.

-Cyclonic Rift/Unsommon. These removals are so great it creeps me out. Especially Rift's overload. Wow.

-Trickbind/ Lapse of Certainty /Mana Leak: you thought you could play? Ahahahahahahah no. I should add some of this stuff, since it's always good to have.

-Rite of Replication: someone told me, long ago, that it was way to costy for its effect. But now, it has found the right deck! Check that 6- Archon of the Triumvirate OPness. Bonus: you can copy your opponent's creatures. Are you sure about wanting to play Phyrexian Obliterator or Bogardan Hellkite now? Bonus number two: since kicker is an additional cost, you can even flashback that sh*t for an additional kick in the ass.

Other spells.- Telepathy : cuz' it's easier to control if you know what's coming next.

-Batterskull: every control deck should play this. Uncolored cheap and powerful living creature. Even more powerful if you give it to Sun Titan or Archon of the Triumvirate . Bonus: it's uncolored, so if you think that you can't with even with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn the battlefield... Then what about a 15/15 annihilator 6 vigilance lifelink protection from colors? :')

Venser, the Sojourner: his -8 ability happens every single f*cking time. Protect him, and the victory is yours. His +2 can also fix your colors since you can play any spell you want during your end step.

Well, I guess you've heard enough of it so... Since I want to play this deck in some Modern tournaments, I need you guys to playtest it and give me some suggestions. Upvotes are also quite helpfull since it gives Myrs a better visibility!

For the world is ours...
