Monoblack control has always been one of my favorite decks, and I've taken it to modern here. This is basically a standard version of the deck, no sideboard yet. But one conscious decision is to run Mutilate over Damnation , if I have 4-5 swamps out I can make sure that my creatures can still survive while the opponents board gets decimated.
