So this list is all about the synergy that the standard suite of merfolk cards gives us to go really wide really quickly while growing our guys so that they can break through board stalls and swing the game. the biggest payoffs in the deck are Deeproot Waters and Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca . Deeproot waters creates hexproof tokens when we cast our creatures and Kumena turns our creatures into mid to late game value in the form of cards or +1/+1 counters. and as a little bit of icing on the cake, Kumena can make himself unblockable which can come in handy from time to time. Additionally, with War of the Spark, we got a new tool in Merfolk Skydiver which acts as copies 5-8 of Jade Bearer but better because it can fly. it also serves as a mana sink in the mid to late game letting us proliferate the numerous counters that will end up on our fishy friends.
