Ill give you a list of some suggestion for a maybeboard cards... To fix colour add more Mana Confluence or City of Brass

I practically never have a problem with getting the color of mana I want due to the 1-of Mana Confluence and City of Brass , the 4x Cavern of Souls and the 6 fetch lands I have in here. Looking at the mana vs mana symbols chart, the distribution is quite even as well, though, I may consider adding and extra one and -1 Marsh Flats . They are pretty helpful.

  • Cathars' Crusade and Saltskitter would be nice, but are way too slow.

  • Suture Priest is nice, sometimes, especially against creature heavy decks, but is generally quickly removed. Also, is not so relevant against decks without many creatures. I opt-out for 3x Auriok Champion instead because of its protection.

  • Aura Shards would certainly have a place in the Naya version of my build, but it's actually not Modern Legal.

Thanks for the suggestions!

hmmmmmm and

Forbidden Orchard ??? Quite risky but .... souls still are triggering

Hmm. Forbidden Orchard would be something to think about, for sure. Yes, a bit risky by providing them with blockers and possibly an extra attacker here and there, but would cause a lot of triggers while helping my mana consistency. The only time I see is causing trouble would be against control and possibly very heavy creature decks.

Fixing that orange italics. I'm sorry I have no suggestions, but this deck is awesome, so what did I expect. +1

The Orange Italics was intentional, but if you must. Thanks for the compliment and the +1! If you think of anything that may work in here, don't hesitate to suggest!

Taken to a tournament yet?

Okay, italics are back. This has probably been suggested before, but I came up with Restoration Angel , which is three creatures entering the battlefield if Norin the Wary is out. The angel also protects creatures from removal.

@NateJH I haven't quite finished assembling the deck in paper yet. I'm still testing online to get all the kinks out and trying new things.

@BorosPlayer Thanks! Yeah, Restoration Angel would be nice in here, but I believe it's usefulness isn't as prominent as my other six 4-drops, which is already pushing my land base to its limits. Thanks for the suggestion, though! If I can work it into the deck at a later time, I will!

maybe sideboard a Stony Silence or to help against affinity and pod?

June 14, 2014 9:22 p.m.

Prehcise says... #13

I've had Stony Silence in here before, but decided on not running it because of Rakdos Charm 's high amount of utility. Not only can it destroy a Birthing Pod or a Cranial Plating , it can also be used to turn a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or Splinter Twin combo against my opponent for the win. The graveyard hate is also very useful against Dredge decks and Storm decks that rely on Past in Flames .

I really love this deck, but I think Blasting Station isn't too good. +1

Has Athreos, God of Passage worked for you? I generally find him to be far worse than many people believe.

Athreos, God of Passage has worked fairly well. However, having your opponent decide for you can be a hassle.

Ah, yes. All of those have been/are on my mind for this deck. Though, if I added any of them in, I'd have to change up the deck accordingly. Xathrid Necromancer isn't strong enough alone to be a one-of, which would mean I'd have to probably have 3 in the deck for him to be an effective threat, but even then, he's a bit on the slow side. In most cases, I'd rather draw into a Mentor of the Meek . Orzhov Pontiff has been on my mind for quite sometime. Whenever I find the chance, I'll try to work him in. High Priest of Penance is a card I've looked at, but I'm not sure if it's strong enough aside from casual games. It'd be nice if it could fly.

If you look at the meta on MTGGoldfish.com about %50 of it is burn or delver and a card they just can't beat is Auriok Champion if you can fit that somewhere in here you're set on your way to win the next Pro Tour Featuring Modern! :D

Altar of brood?

January 21, 2015 12:25 a.m.

Prehcise says... #22

@aceblade I discovered Altar of the Brood earlier today while catching up on magic and thought it could be an interesting little combo, but I don't believe it would do enough to get me the win in any but the most grindy games, or in win-more situations. Thanks for the input, though! It could be a fun interaction to think about in a more casual version.

Yeah right now im trying to build a fun little annoying deck around it atm. If I can get it to be a little more consistent maybe ill actually play around with it at FNMhttp://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/altar-of-blood/

Would you get two draws from meek if you summon two tokens like in raise the alarm?

March 7, 2015 3:46 a.m.

Prehcise says... #25

Yep, but because they are two separate triggers you would have to pay for each, meaning to draw two cards. However, you do have the option of choosing to only pay and declining the option to do so on the second trigger, therefore, only drawing one card.
