BBE Is unbanned and the world is much more fun, here's a meme deck that sometimes explodes
The core card of the deck being Temur Ascendancy. It serves both as a draw engine, and as a haste enabler, making all of our creatures spookier. Since we want the draw off of Ascendancy, were only including creatures with 4 or greater attack. We also want to make sure we can cast everything, and blood braid elf into it, thus 3 or less CMC. This Narrows our creature list, but lets us pack some funkier stuff. Card list, and reasoning below
Some brief notes, it might be wise to bump the land base up by one and cut the meme balloon card, and potentially cut the birds out for nobles. Both of those options are currently on the table for testing, though I haven't managed to acquire four nobles yet.
We Got 4 Birds, for faster starts. Turn 2 TA into BBE on 3 really makes us feel good.
Bloodmoon: 2 or 3 of mainboard. We run enough basics to survive it, and some times it just wins the game. It also weakens cards like fatal push, and enables us to have more sac targets for spicy things. The Push weaken is particularly relevant because we live in an awkward Tall/Wide zone. Most of our relevant creatures are 3 drops.
BloodBraid Elf: BBE is a saint. best boy, 2018. Swings in for 3, and usually grabs us a 4/x that swings with it. Gets funkier as you add in the side board but, overall, its going to be nice.
Cosmic Larva: A one of Spicy Meme. Dropping him early or late, hes going to have an impact. If you have TA online, its going to swing for 7, which is hard to deal with. The land sac simply is not going to matter, chances are you should never let him live early, or if its late in the game, you should have too many lands anyway. He's also great discard bait.
Goreclaw: A new Addition to the crew with m19. This boy buffs our creatures with more than 4 attack (all of them) and gives the trample. He also makes all of our cards much cheaper, usually even reducing goyf down to a single Green. The Discount, and the trample makes him a big contributor. Hes being tested as a 1 of right now because hes a little hard get out when it matters, and he dies to bolt.
Imaginary Pet: Another meme card, that actually is pretty core in our deck. He bounces himself back to our hand yes, but if we have TA out, he draws us a card for 2, and swings for 4. At worst, hes a 2 mana blocker, at best, hes a repetitive part our draw engine, and once an opponent realizes that he becomes prime discard and push bait, which protects all of our better creatures.
Bolt: Gotta Shoot stuff
Rhonas: Mainboard Deathshadow killer, Mainboard ensnaring bridge work around (swing with those birds baby), and overall big beater for cheap. Also gives our guys trample when he buffs em. Hes hard to remove, and is just oppressive enough to win out games.
Sarkhans Unsealing: Another new addition still in testing. When we have unsealing out, all of our cards ping for 4, which can be /huge/ in control or midrange games. It adds an extra layer of oppression onto our already oppressive drawing.
Savage Knuckleblade: Core. Hes great, in every way. Best card 2019.
Tarmogoyf: Its goyf, what more can I say.
Tarfire: It helps goyf, what more can I say. Also, at worst its just a bolt effect, helps us keep the board.
Temur Ascendancy: DRAWS FOR DAYSSSSSSSSS HASTE FOR YEARS WINS FOR DECADES.
Vexing Devil: A great one drop when we dont have bird, at worst its lava spike for 4 damage, and at best its lava spike for 4 damage, that draws us cards, and then triggers an additional 4 damage ping.
Faithless looting and Serum offer some real perks to the center of the deck. They let us cycle through some of our garbage (multiples of our enchantments and birds) and hit some more meat for us to throw at our opponent. Where they fit exactly, I'm not sure, but i think i'd like to see them.
