Counter spells and lots of removal keep opponent's creatures out of the way, while Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver (hopefully) uses the opponent's creatures against against them. Liliana Vess's ultimate is always nice, but using the -2 ability is great for either getting removal, or the right card needed. Monastery Siege is used for extra card draw and delve. Tasigur, the Golden Fang is a great attacker and his ability is great as well.
