Mardu Tokes!!

Mardu Tokens rounds out it's removal package with the newly printed Fatal Push. Go wide with your tokens, create more pressure with Young Pyromancer and smash face.

The Mardu Instants

Mardu, especially after the Fatal Push printing, has a stellar package of removal spells.

  • Lightning Bolt because the deck has red. Duh.

  • Fatal Push for early game removal. Slows down a big portion of modern decks. Infect, Jund, Abzan, Burn.. etc.

  • Path to Exile for big beefers that Bolt and Push misses.

  • Lightning Helix can act as a burn or removal.. but the upside is you gain 3 life regardless!

Mardu Sorceries

Creatures

  • Young Pyromancer presents pressure on the board, and the synergies with all of the Mardu spells helps flood the board with tokens. Ideally, you want to drop these suckers when you have mana open and a spell to gain some value out of it if your opponent blows your creature out.

  • Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is such a great card in this deck. Takes advantage of killing opponents creatures, gives a little bit of life gain and it produces more tokens! You can always go up to 3 Sorin's instead of this guy if you wanted as well.

Bring the Rogues

  • Bitterblossom is so much value, and with the lack of (normally) enchantment hate main board in most decks, it can be brutal game 1, unanswered. You can always board it out if you suspect them to sideboard to combat it games 2 and 3.

Walkers and Anthems

  • Sorin, Solemn Visitor is the only one I need. I've been told before that if you're running tokens, you HAVE to include this big boy. It's a buff, plus some lifegain, and it's until YOUR next turn. It can be a game changer if it drops after you've stabilized.

  • Intangible Virtue is a necessity in any tokens deck that runs white. Such a cheap, easy way to buff the board, and the vigilance can be troublesome for your opponent to deal with.

Sideboard Plans

  • Zealous Persecution is a fun combat trick, a way to wipe out weenies, and a way to complicate combat math for your opponent.

  • Collective Brutality is very versatile against many different decks. There is always a relevant mode. Plus, it's AMAZING against burn.

  • Painful Truths can be brought in when you need a source of card advantage against midrange, slower decks.

  • Grafdigger's Cage for any dredge, company or combo decks that require the GY to go off.

  • Timely Reinforcements is good against wide decks, and can help sustain in a grindy game.

  • Leyline of Sanctity to prevent targeted spell decks from beating down too quickly. Burn comes to mind.

  • Stony Silence for affinity hate.

  • Dreadbore to deal with pesky walkers such as Lili or Gideon.

Remember to +1 if you like the deck, and feedback/suggestions are always appreciated!
