Human/assassin tribal fun inspired by BONESAW1.
Breakdown-->
Adaptive Automaton
: Humans don't really have proper pump lords, so I figured I would use this guy and
Door of Destinies
to get the power I want out of tribal aggro. The automaton is unique in that it's a creature so it provides its own body and is small enough to conveniently work with
Mentor of the Meek
.
Blind Obedience
: This and
Imposing Sovereign
provide added support to the tapping theme without needing additional input, which is nice when you want to be attacking with all you've got. While I prefer Sovereign in most cases, the cheap exploit is very nice, the enchantment dodges creature removal, and it can slow down artifact-based decks as well.
Champion of the Parish
: I doubt most people would disagree with the claim that this guy is essentially a staple of human tribal. He's so cheap at only 1, and he's almost guaranteed to become a monster by the end of the game.
Door of Destinies
: This card is relatively slow in this deck, but it has the potential to do disgusting things in the late game. I tend to find it much better mechanically than
Obelisk of Urd
and much nicer on the wallet than
Coat of Arms
.
Gather the Townsfolk
: Even as a sorcery, this card is still brilliant in its cheapness. The bonus of getting 5 humans in a pinch is nothing to sneeze at either.
Gideon's Avenger
: While you work away at tapping down an opponent's board, this guy is quietly growing into a real pain. I lowered him to 2 copies because the 1WW price is a little rough and I think a single one of these guys is enough to win games on its own.
