Vampires offer great synergy between cards and combine elves with merfolk, in a sense, to establish a strong early presence and finish the game with multiple buffed creatures and removal spells before eldrazi/tron/control can dominate. Maindeck choices: Indulgent aristocrat: lifelink and pumps up all the vampires. You can sacrifice bloodghast if available for the most efficient use of mana- Pulse tracker: vampire staple, puts pressure on early- Bloodghast: one of the best vampires ever printed-comes back again and again, gains haste later in the game and is the most annoying card to play if running control or affinity or ad nauseum- Kalastria Highborn: 4 life-point swing for one mana, easy choice- Gifted Aetherborn/Vampire Nighthawk: death touch and lifelink, both offer massive value and nighthawk is a powerful flyer- Drana: pumps all attacking vampires (which is usually all of them)- Stromkirk Captain: why black red vampires is a thing, first strike and pump all vamps- Gatekeeper of Malakir: anti eldrazi - always use the kicker and save for a big boy- Olivia Voldaren: act of treason that flys and can be pumped up and can deal damage (legit)- Kalitas: becomes huge quick, lifegain helps out in late game- Vampire Nocturnus: no explanation needed
