This is my old Ravnica/Theros standard deck. In it's day it got first place at FNM and earned me the Journey to Nyx platmat. Gets nasty except against U/W creatureless control. To this day, Sphinx's Revelation is the bane of my existence and I will not rest until it has been annihilated. But in any case, in casual modern settings, it's absolutely brutal.
The theme of it is to force your opponents to sack creatures at your whim while you steal their life away before their eyes.

Gift of Orzhova
and particularly Gray Merchant of Asphodel earn their keep by quickly draining your opponents life and boosting your own for defense. By charging at their life total and their creature base with equal ferocity, your opponent won't know where you're swinging next, leaving them guessing while causing a bit of psychological warfare.

Agent of the Fates
Goes for creatures. Given his heroic ability and his deathtouch, he'll make you sac creatures two different ways. Even if he's about to die, shooting him with your own
Hero's Downfall
triggers the sac ability.
Desecration Demon
He either forces a creature sac or swings at your life for 6. Very useful buddy to have on your side.
Gift of Orzhova
Perfect turn four drop onto an Agent. Creates a 4/3 flying lifelink while sniping at your opponents creature base. Useful enchantment that works for any creature, even letting Grey Merchant swing on occasion. And speaking of...
Grey Merchant of Asphodel Seriously, how is this guy a common? Holy gadzooks this thing is incredible! Much love and much hate go out to the five drop that can hit for obscene amounts of life.
Herald of Torment
Only card that doesn't directly go for creatures or life. However, it's bestow triggers Agent, and it pumps creatures quick, allowing me to swing for their life total. Has come in handy on multiple occasions.
Hero's Downfall
Cuts through creatures and planeswalkers alike.
Spiteful Returned
Another hidden gem I never saw used much. Bestow onto Agent, or bestow Herald onto it for a 4/4 flier that hits for 6. Or just swinging with a 1/1 and hitting for 3 life is still a good day.
There are other cool tricks in here, most are self-explanatory. It's got some great synergy and can swing for massive amounts of damage.
