Hello!!! I've been playing Magic for about 2 months now and I'm currently looking to build my first deck. I decided to use tappedout to plan it out. But then I realize this could also help other new players too so I decided to post it. I'm hoping to get better at the game and deck building as time goes on so any advice would be awesome! I hope I could help this community as much as the people in it has helped me get into it. Here's the deck:

This deck is a give or take $20 budget mono-blue deck that is looking to get card advantage and counter spells! I plan for this deck to be for the people so if you have any suggestions for the deck please leave a comment. As a new player I find it hard to find a budget under $20 deck to play with friends while also being to upgrade it later on. Hopefully this deck helps some of you who are looking for a cheap deck to get started in Magic with. Being new to the game I'm not sure what cards are good so anyone is welcome to help me out Here's why I have each card:

Spells:

Opt help you find the cards you need. Upgrade(s) Serum Visions

Spell Pierce good for early game to disrupt spells. Upgrade(s) Spell Snare

Mana Leak another good early game disruption

Negate protection for creatures and good counter for spells

Sleep help swing in with creatures to the face and disrupts any shenanigans from your opponent's creatures on your turn. Upgrade(s)Cryptic Command

Supreme Will versatility to either counter a spell mid-game or look for cards

Blue Sun's Zenith good card draw late game to search for answer

Creatures:

Augur of Bolas good for adding spells to your hand. Upgrade(s) Search for azcanta

Merfolk Trickster shut down a creature for a turn

Siren Stormtamer good flier with ability to counter spells and ability

Guile main win condition. A big boy with that can swing in and fore your opponent to either block it or take a massive amount to the face. Good for getting rid spells for good and play them without paying for the cost. It can also go back into your library if it's not exiled

Talrand, Sky Summoner back win condition that can be cast early and make a bunch of fliers to swing in
