Sideboard

After a series of games and playing a large amount of Magic: the Gathering Arena, I've discovered that the path that I was wishing the deck to go down was not as good as I had hoped. I now have subtly changed the deck, mostly just by re-arranging the sideboard, to make the aggro shell more viable. The sideboard still has options to lean more into the counterburn archetype.

From here I may try to go more into wizards, but from playing with and against wizards on MTGA I've realized that wizards are not that strong of a tribe. It seems as though now it's a mix between Guttersnipe, Wizards, Counterburn, and Burn; despite this it doesn't play as clunky as you would think. The main issue is sometimes I won't always get the correct lands, and that's only because I'm young and don't want to invest in good multicolored lands, but an easy upgrade to this deck would be adding good multicolored lands. Guildgates don't really work because they are too slow, and this deck often has turn one plays that a Guildgate would not allow.

Several of the current creatures in the deck don't really fit the aggro theme, but they have the wizard type and some good utility so for now they will stay. I've taken a break from paper magic recently since GRN released, so my decks haven't been evolving as they should. Sometime before I enter another tournament I'll try to find some upgrades and change the deck again, but for now I'm just uploading the version of the deck I have.

One of the first changes I'll make after this update will be removing the Divinations. I thought that Risk Factor would be a substitute, but due to it's price I never bothered to purchase it, and I'm glad I didn't. This deck doesn't need the card draw like many burn decks would, and three mana is actually high for this curve, and can use up an entire turn instead of playing a Guttersnipe or Adeliz.

Updates Add

Took out the cards that I was planning on buying and went back to an earlier version, then swapped out the cards in the side and main to make a better aggro version of the deck. Mostly just swapped counters and large spells for cheaper things and creatures.
