Blue White Contorl!

Control decks are extremely fun to play but definitely not to play against! Lets go over some key cards that make this deck a monster!

Cards for the win! Gisela, the Broken Blade, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Brisela, Voice of Nightmares, Torrential Gearhulk

Lone Rider   is a great 2 drop card. Not only with First Strike and Lifelink but it transforms to It That Rides as One   and is amazing! It is so easy to transform when you are running 4 Blessed Alliance and other Lifelink cards. Once this 4/4 First strike, trample, lifelink is out. You have a solid defensive wall early! I've thought about putting Thalia, Heretic Cathar instead but for now Lone Rider seems to work fine.

Baral's Expertise is an amazing card. 5 drop to return 3 creatures or artifacts then you can follow it up with a 4 drop for free! such a strong play! Especially if you follow it up with Gisela, the Broken Blade or Gideon, Ally of Zendikar Clear the board for you opponent then put your own domination afterwards! This is the play where most of the momentum shifts in your direction!

Counter Spells - Tons of spells to slow the game down and control you opponent. Basically your opponent has to ask permission to play the game. Disallow Negate Void Shatter

Draw Cards - Anticipate and Glimmer of Genius help you get to the cards you need. Jace, Unraveler of Secrets is there to help you get to the cards you need. He is to grab your opponents attention. And if your Gisela can protect it enough get the Emblem out! I've been able to use Jace's Ult 1 time in a game. Most other times he either dies or I won the game.

Blessed Alliance is a wonderful card! As mentioned it can be used to gain life and transform the Lone Rider. But more importantly it can get rid of attacking creatures! Hexproof is not going to help because it targets the opponent not a specific creature. Also if the situation permits, you can surprise your opponent by untapping 2 creatures and block. Or if mana is available do them all! Other creature removal used is Immolating Glare

Creatures with Flash - Spell Queller and Torrential Gearhulk are strong because they are surprise counters and blockers. When you opponent least expects it you can flash in the Gearhulk and counter a spell or draw some more cards!

Gisela and Bruna combo is killer! For a 4 drop Gisela, the Broken Blade is wickedly strong! She will keep your opponent trying to find an answer for her. I would normally be using her as a blocker more than anything. I don't move into offense until I know it's time to attack! When your opponent finally kills Gisela you cast Bruna, the Fading Light This card is also strong but lacks the First strike. It is a high casting cost but consider you bring back another creature to the battlefield like Gisela then a 7 drop doesn't sound so bad. And of course don't forget that when combined together they Meld into Brisela, Voice of Nightmares a 9/10! Flying, first strike, vigilance, and lifelink! And if that wasn't enough Your opponents can't cast spells with converted mana cost 3 or less... Absolutely insane! This is where most opponents concede.

This deck has been fun to play and build! I hope you all enjoy it! Please check out all of my other decks I've built. They are all fun to play and I have done really well with them. I would say this decks feels the strongest out of all I've made. This deck has yet to lose against anyone during my play testing time. I've played several 3 way match ups and won all of those as well.

Good luck and thanks for reading!

I played a couple matches of FNM last night and I just couldn't get the cards. Either I had too little land or to much land or not the right cards to win. I took out the Horibly Awry and put back 2 more Glimmers. I took away the Jace and put a 2nd Dovin Baan. And lastly I took 1 Baral's Expertise out for a Fumigate... Let's see if I have better luck.
