Zedruu the Greathearted has just taken office as the president of the United states, along with her trusty general Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Azor's Elocutors her Secretary of Commerce, and Bazaar Trader as her foreign affairs minister, the world is ripe for the taking.

The Military-Industrial Complex

Any good leader needs an army at their disposal, this deck accomplishes that in the form of tokens. The dispensable soldiers are easy to loan, make great revenue though Zedruu the Greathearted, and deal little damage if they come back to hit you. Card of note are : Assemble the Legion, Luminarch Ascension, Akroan Horse, Darien, King of Kjeldor, Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs, Court of Grace, The Locust God, Phyrexian Processor and Elspeth, Sun's Champion. Reusability is key for each of these token generating investments.

The Prison-Industrial Complex

In order to extract capital from undesirable citizens, we need to strip them of their rights through privatized prisons! To commence the system of oppression we have forgone the usual packages of instant speed removal for enchantment-based removal such as Oblivion Ring, Detention Sphere, and Darksteel Mutation. This allows us to sell the prisoners back to the consumer through Zedru's activated ability for profit. This has the added benefit of racial stereotypes being real as undesirables are now actually insects.

Death and Taxes (The Pillow Fort)

Now that you have your army you need to make sure that the enemy doesn't use it against you like ISIS did with the U.S. We accomplish this though persuading the enemy to attack anyone else, i.e tax them to death. This is done though: Aurification, Dissipation Field, Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Statecraft, War Tax, Sphere of Safety, Windborn Muse and Crawlspace.

Sanctions

When Russia starts getting frisky, you need to be able to slap him on the wrist when Putin invades Ukraine. Likewise, Zedruu accomplishes this though giving stinker cards like: Illusions of Grandeur, gain 20 life, they pay mana and lose 20 life, Steel Golem and Grid Monitor, how do you like not playing creatures? Aggressive Mining, how about not playing lands? Thought Lash, to make them think about what they did,

Intellectual Superiority

When the U.S first colonized America, they were able to steal the land of the indigenous though their technological superiority, likewise Zedruu must do the same as the founding fathers before her. Thought Vessel and Reliquary Tower allow you to keep all the card draw from Zedruu. Any of the card draw in this deck in conjunction with Psychosis Crawler will surely make any opponent want to take the smallpox blankets anyways.

Coup d'États

Hey, what's that Zedruu smells? OIL?! Well, we very well can't have the enemy enjoying all precious liquid dinosaur, so like Venezuela, and Syria, we need to instate a banana republic by sponsoring your local rebel group near you. This is done by cards like: Brand, Reins of Power, Mob Rule, Twist Allegiance, and Homeward Path. These cards with recall your troops in foreign countries or recruit the enemy to work for you. With Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite as the general leading the charge, the socialists don't stand a chance.

Tactical Nukes

When Zedruu gets bored or sees anyone stepping over the line in their path to victory (cough cough North Korea), she just hits the launch codes and watches the world burn around her. There is the stylish combo of donating Nine Lives just before the last counter is put on. Nothing better than getting the style points from Fortnight dancing over dead corpses with Hour of Reckoning. There is Aetherflux Reservoir, just to initiate nuclear war, though be careful of the enemies mine shaft gap (this is why we run Crawlspace). Lastly there is Azor's Elocutors, since a bunch of rambling old geezers is the best way to become the leader of the "free" world.

A Critique on The Green New Deal

Simply put, efficient renewable resources are fundamentally anti-capitalist, which is why this deck does not run generic mana producing mana rocks, such as Sol Ring or Thran Dynamo. In actuality we need more help with producing coloured mana for the high cost of Zedruu's activated ability. Further generic mana doesn't help get Zedruu out any faster past producing one generic mana.

Turns out Trump is president, and Obama care was repealed. But I'm not changing the name since, I mean is trump really the president?
