This deck is an ongoing project of mine over the past few years. What started out as a Saproling theme deck revolving around Mycoloth and Corpsejack Menace has evolved into a prolific token and counter generating machine with staple spells like Go for the Throat and Tragic Slip for situations where removal is needed to control the playing field. The Deathspores help with nuisance baddies by sacrificing tokens to remove -1/-1 from the otherwise annoyingly hard to remove creatures. Tokens and Counters are generated early in the match to facilitate defense and distraction until the Hydras come in the mid game to turn the tide and end the game. The only issues I encounter with this current set up are the lack of flying defense other than Raking Canopy in sideboard, and its susceptibility to milling. Aside from those things, this deck really gets rolling left unchecked and is capable of producing tokens and counters exponentially. Imagine swapping out the Parallel Lives and [Hardened Scales] for 2x Doubling Season.. Better pack your calculator or have plenty of dice and or tokens! Any pointers or suggestions are cheerfully welcomed.
