G/U Infect (Possible Turn 2 Win!)

Modern Aggro Budget Competitive GU (Simic) Infect

Sideboard

My personal blue green infect deck.

20 lands in total, more than enough to keep infect going when it can win with 2 or 3 lands on the table.

Runs 13 creatures (including inkmoth nexus), which may not seem like much, but it's suitable when you only need one on the battlefield to win.

To help keep our creatures alive from constant removal, we run cards like: Blossoming Defense, Vines of Vastwood, and Spell Pierce.

This deck also runs more control in the mainboard that most lists in the form of 4 Spell Pierces. Again, this helps prevent your creatures dying from removal and it's always nice to have counters for various other reasons. If I had a playset of Noble Hierarchs I would probably cut down to about 2 spell pierces in the mainboard, possible go down Blossoming Defense or something for the others. If you have access to those cards I'd suggest including them like that.

The deck runs many buff spells to get in with your creatures. The best buff spells here are Groundswell and Might of Old Krosa, usually a solid +4/+4 card that gets in massive damage... er... poison. Sometimes you can cast a Become Immense for just one mana for a +6/+6!

But hey, you wanna know about the turn 2 win, right? This can be done a couple of different ways. It looks kinda like this: T1: Colored land + Glistener Elf T2: Colored land + Groundswell / Might of Old Krosa + Groundswell / Might of Old Krosa + Mutagenic Growth OR T2: Mutagenic Growth + Mutagenic Growth + Mutagenic Growth + Groundswell / Might of Old Krosa. This win relies on your opponent having no creature removal or counterspells, but when your opponent has none or very little, a turn 2 win is possible, and a turn 3 or 4 win is very realistic.

For a while I didn't have the money to have an expensive mana base, but I was still able to play this deck and see very impressive results without the expensive lands. Instead of Breeding Pool and fetchlands you can rely on City of Brass and good old Forests.
