Working towards a Simic-Control style build.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave : She's the main reason I build the deck. By far my favorite planeswalker and I'd like for her to see some play. She works as a Pseudo-Fog or in the worst case scenario gives you an Explore.

Talrand, Sky Summoner : Another "bad in modern" card. Maybe so. He's kind of slow, but control done right is designed to keep your opponent from doing what they want until you're ready to go off. In a "perfect storm" setting, (not likely to get off, but still) you can have a Druid's Deliverance imprinted on Isochron Scepter, resulting in double tokens each cycle. The idea behind Talrand is to allow control to grow a larger board while removing the opponents. I used him because I was searching for win conditions and I've had surprising success with him.

Isochron Scepter : I don't see many Modern decks using this but I'm not sure why. Drop it for 2 mana and really I could copy any of the instants in my deck and be happy, but the best 2 would be Fog/Druid's Deliverance or Remand. Being able to use one every turn just seems fantastic, immunity to Battle Damage or a Counter every single turn that also alows you to draw.

Garruk Wildspeaker / Nissa, Worldwaker : Both have the same purpose, letting you cast win conditions and still keep mana open for responses on the opponent's turn. In addition both are able to further my board and create other win conditions. (Although in honesty, I consider Nissa a temporary use, waiting to see what the new MTG Origins Jace and Nissa look like)

I'd appreciate any insight, trying to make this deck at least somewhat competitive. Yes, I am aware that UG is generally outclassed by Bant, but give it a go. I've had some success with it,
