$180 Combo Mizzix Budget Competitive Primer

Commander / EDH Combo Competitive Infinite Combo Primer UR (Izzet)

FrostCheif

Created as a budget option of my competitive build, for people who might just want to try the deck out

ORIGINAL BUILD: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/combo-mizzix-competitive-primer/

CARDS I AM TAKING OUT

Wheels, because in a less competitively angled deck, wheels help your non-spell opponents a whole lot more, these include Wheel of Fortune, Timetwister, Windfall and Time Spiral

Expensive Countermagic, including Force of Will, Pact of Negation and Mana Drain

Expensive Ramp, including Mana Crypt, Mox Diamond, and Chrome Mox and Mana Vault

Expensive Artifacts like Scroll Rack and Sensei's Diving Top

Expensive Combo Pieces, including Intuition, Reset and Time Warp (Replaced with Walk the Aeons)

Expensive Creatures, like Snapcaster Mage

Cards that no longer fit into the strategy, like Blasphemous Act, Seething Song, Peer through Existence

and Expensive Land, including Arid Mesa, Bloodstained Mire, Boseiju, Who Shelters All, Cascade Bluffs , Cavern of Souls, Flooded Strand, Mikokoro, Center of the Sea, Misty Rainforest, Polluted Delta, Scalding Tarn, Volcanic Island and Wooded Foothills

These Changes shave $2200 off of my competitive list, and ill come at you soon with suitable replacements, cheers.

Additions:

LAND:

Mana Confluence, Shivan Reef, Wandering Fumarole, Highland Lake , Izzet Guildgate , Swiftwater Cliffs In addition to 18 Islands and 6 mountains

MANA ROCKS:

Chromatic Lantern, Mind Stone, Star Compass, Thought Vessel

INSTANTS:

Epiphany at the Drownyard, Scour from Existence, Dragonlord's Prerogative , Opportunity, Mystic Confluence, Spell Crumple and Stroke of Genius

SORCERIES:

Invoke the Firemind, Plea for Power , Walk the Aeons, Incite Rebellion, Volcanic Vision, Bonfire of the Damned and Mizzium Mortars

Brief Explanation:

Most of the combos still exist in the deck, including combo's that would be made more consistent with Intuition, because at a basic levels these combo's still work. X-Draw Spells are more important here, in digging as deep as possible to combo, and also help with ramping up to ~5 Experience Counters. 1-Sided Wrath's, like Incite Rebellion are also very important in this deck, because we have lost that explosive capability, and need to be able to interact with the board. The deck loses its competitiveness if it relies heavily on it's commander to win, and this is the case with Mizzix, but by durdling with spells like Opportunity, you can present yourself as less of a target on the board, and pull wins out of nowhere, which is your main plan :)
