The idea of the deck is to assemble the combo of Eldrazi Displacer + Blood Artist / Zulaport Cutthroat + Brood Monitor . You use the Eldrazi scion tokens created by Brood Monitor to pay for the activation cost of Eldrazi Displacer , targeting Brood Monitor . Since the tokens die when you sacrifice them for mana, you get to drain your opponent for three life thanks to Zulaport Cutthroat ’s triggered ability. You get three new Spawn tokens after blinking Brood Monitor , and then it’s all rinse and repeat until your opponent’s life total becomes zero.
