This is my attempt to exploit the synergy between Zur the Enchanter and Assault Formation. The key to ZUR is making him stick long enough to get Shielding Plax on him then grab what you need from your tool box...

Assault Formation - I saw this spoil and knew it had such awesome potential. This turns your Zur as well as the rest of your creatures into real threats.

Courser of Kruphix - Amazing against aggro and once Assault Formation or Doran, the Siege Tower are on board his ability to mana fix and gain us life becomes just a bonus.

Daybreak Coronet - The ability to turn your solid beaters into win-cons while gaining life.

Detention Sphere - Fetchable removal.

Ethereal Armor - With an enchantment based deck such this it wrecks house.

Runed Halo - Allow us to deal with threats we don't have an immediate answer for.

Shielding Plax - Grants Zur or another threat valuable hexproof with bonus card draw.

Steel of the Godhead - Turns Zur to a 3/6 and GoST into an unblockable life gaining threat.

Use Zur the Enchanter as a beatstick as well as enchantment tutor with Doran, the Siege Tower and Geist of Saint Traft as a backup plans. Id really appreciate any suggestions and comments you may have i really enjoy the toolbox aspect of piloting this.

The deck Ideally plays...

T1: Fetchland or producing land > Noble Hierarch.

T2: // producing land Wall of Roots.

T3: More land ramp into Zur the Enchanter with the ability to produce / to protect your threat with Swan Song or Vines of Vastwood.

T4: Doran, the Siege Tower Zur now swings for 4 and tutor for answers...
